The Taking No Shorts series is about Jamal Thomas a.k.a. Frenchie who comes home from prison after 15 years with very few options to succeed. To survive, he goes back to what he knows... the streets. Forming a clique called the T.N.S. crew, he takes over the streets of Miami, FL. Using what he learned while locked up, he forms a corporation and begins investing in businesses in order to give other people fresh out of prison an opportunity to legally provide for themselves. When his mentor is murdered by rivals wishing to move in on his territory, he is forced to defend himself and those close to him. What he receives in return is far more than he could have ever imagined.
